How to play

You’re driving. They’re behind you. Nobody can see anybody. That’s fine, this game is all ears.

Call out a sound: “Tell me something that starts with t-t-t...”

They shout anything they can think of, or anything out the window. Tree! Truck! Traffic light!

Accept every answer, then say the word back with the first sound clear: “T-t-truck! Yes!” Swap sounds when they run dry.
First sounds, with nothing to look at.
There is no pile of toys or busy book page to choose from here. Your child has to pull a word from their own head, or spot one passing outside the window, and check its first sound. That makes it a little harder, but also wonderfully portable: no props, no prep, and your eyes stay on the road.
